Entries are now open for this year’s Summer Congress, held across five consecutive Tuesday evenings at the London Mindsports Centre. If you’d like to get some practice evening games in ahead of the start of the new League season, this is the place to do it!

All participants must be English Chess Federation members at Gold level or above. Players without Gold membership can still take part by paying a £17 pay-to-play supplement, which is handled automatically on the entry form.
Venue is the Mindsports Centre, 21 Dalling Rd, London W6 0JD.
Due to limited capacity, entries are not considered accepted until the entry fee has been paid. Entries are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Any problems with the form, please email johnsargent [at] gmail [dot] com.
The tournament is 5 rounds, Swiss format, and is ECF rated. Please note it is not FIDE rated.

Time control: 60 minutes + 30 seconds per move (60+30)
Please note this is different from the London Chess League time control during the normal league season.
SECTIONS
If 25 or more players sign up: Open, U2000 and U1600.
If fewer than 25 players register: Open and U1900.
You will be asked to choose a section when you enter as if there are 3 sections. We will confirm the final structure once entries close.
BYES
Players may take up to 2 half-point byes. A third bye, or a bye in the final round, is possible but will be treated as a zero-point bye.
PRIZES
Open: £150 / £100 / £50 (guaranteed)
Other sections: £120 / £80 / £40 (guaranteed)
ENTRY FEE
£35.00 for players holding ECF membership at Gold level or above.
£52.00 for players who do not.

Please note that outside food and drink are not allowed except for medical reasons that are communicated and agreed with the organiser in writing beforehand. We have an on-site bar that sells alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks as well as toasted sandwiches.
