We’re delighted this season to have brought the London Chess League’s players a new website. As we enter an exciting new chapter, we also want to invite you to take part in commemorating the League’s rich history. For over 135 years our players’ adventures over the board have created a culture of camaraderie and of sporting friendship — and we are proud to continue in those traditions.
As we work on archiving results from the former London Chess League website, we are asking all players to share your classic photos, games, and scoresheets — both from as far back as your memories reach, and from your most recent events.
We especially want to showcase the diversity of London chess in our global city. We know that players from all walks of life have long been part of our story, and we are committed to reflecting all of our players. Every one of you bring something unique to the London Chess League.
Your submissions will be featured throughout the website — we hope to develop a large library of content both historic and contemporary. To submit your classic photos and games, please email them to secretary@londonchess.com. Let us know any information you can about who’s pictured, or what positions and ideas made your game interesting.
