Welcome to the 2023-24 Season

Welcome to the new season of the London Chess League!

70 teams featuring players from beginner to Grandmaster will be participating across 9 different divisions from October 2023 through to June 2024.

We are also delighted to announce our inaugural Women’s Division, as well as the return of the 8-board Eastman Cup knockout tournament.

The League will be using the ECF LMS. Individual match cards and reporting facilities will be available here. You can view the London Chess League LMS here.

In addition to League activity, the LCL will also be organising several weekend congresses and blitz evenings. The first FIDE weekender is 27-29 October 2024, with Open, U1800 and U1500 sections. You can enter online here

As we continue to come out of what has been a turbulent few years for chess, we look forward to making 2023-24 an excellent season!

Finally, please note our new website front-end and domain name at londonchess.com which we will be using moving forward. If you find any bugs or have suggestions for our new online presence, please do let us know. More content (including historical League results) will be added to the site in the coming days and weeks.

If you have any questions please feel free to get in touch via secretary@londonchess.com.

Yours in Chess,
